My wife ordered the pollo asado with the side salad. I ordered the cannelloni with the daily soup – chicken vegetable. She offered to replace it with a new one but my wife decided to just stick to the water instead. We also told her about the iced tea tasting bad. When the waitress finally came back around to take our meal order, she completely forgot about refilling our waters, so we asked her again. We got the chicharrones and latin waffle fries and both were good. Our appetizers came out before our waitress ever returned to take our meal orders. My wife ordered an iced tea and when it came out, it tasted horrible. Before she left, we asked her to refill our water glasses as well. She came back with our drinks and said that she’d take our appetizer orders, get them started, and be right back to take our meal orders. The hostess brought us all glasses of water right away and our waitress came and took our drink orders. ![]() outdoors and the atmosphere was very nice. When we arrived, the entire inside section was empty and only half of the tables outdoors were filled. We had reservations but definitely didn’t need them. We went to La Parrilla for dinner with another couple last night and were very disappointed. If you WANT a good steak in Oswego, I suggest you go to Scriba Meats, pick up a nice Porterhouse, and grill it yourself. The food quality has tanked, and I feel you weren't even slightly prepared to operate a larger facility. La Parilla, you are a shadow of what you once were at your previous location. Until such time, and sadly again, you can't get a decent steak in Oswego (Until the Texas Roadhouse opens), We won't be returning any time soon. The bar service, is there anything lower than an "F"? Will I be a repeat customer? That depends if there is a response for this post which will go on their Facebook Page and Trip Advisor. If I were to rate the food, it would be a D- at best. Didn't sit at the bar for another drink, didn't order dessert, just plain left. Slowly drank our coctails while enjoying the music and the aquatic scenery, we generously tipped our server (she had no control of the low quality meals) and left. Guess what? AFTER we ate the less than school cafeteria grade dinners, our drinks finally arrived, served by the same clueless bartender with an apology. Since I have, in the past, dined on "Blue Steak", the rawness wouldn't have bothered me, but come on.Medium Rare is NOT RAW IN THE MIDDLE. The meat was cold, the plate was cold, and the steak was RAW in the middle, a far cry from Medium Rare. ALERT: Outer appearances can be quite deceptive, and sadly, this was the case. My steak looked completely appetizing when it was served. ALERT: This was made of breast meat, not a thigh at all, was dry, tough, and one part was so well done, it rivaled chicken jerky. Since my wife's meal was made with "Chicken Thighs", we assumed being it is a dark meat, it would be tender and juicy. I personally went up to the outside bar and asked what the problem was, and all I got was a "Deer in the Headlights" kind of look. Another 10 minutes passed and still no drinks. We asked our server if there was a problem with the bar tender. Since my first drink was served in a tall tumbler (Maker's Mark and Coke), the soda mixer totally drowned the flavor of one of my favorite Bourbons, I ordered another one, and requested it in a cocktail glass and not a tumbler. My wife ordered (I totally forget the name of the dish) Chicken thighs in sauce with couscous, and I ordered the Flat Iron Steak, medium rare. Why didn't they scratch it off the menu then? We both ordered the Creamy Tomato Basil Soup, which was delicious. We wanted to share an order of Calamari, but alas, the first bad news of a rather lousy dining experience. We ordered cocktails, which were served rather quickly. Our server was friendly, helpful, cheerful, and looked as if she totally enjoyed her position. of Johnny Luber, a local musical celebrity. We requested to dine outside so we could listen to the sounds.
